Theivery

Chase crossed her legs Indian style, and sat facing him. She turned into a wolf, and whined. She jumped down off the sofa, then went around the side. She jumped, hitting him in the right spots, making sure not to hurt him. She pinned him down on the sofa, laying on top of him like earlier, laughing in her wolf way. She licked his cheek, enjoying her fun again. She turned human. "That never gets old," she joked, and then went dead silent.

"To you." Drew smirked, looking at her. His breathing steadied, becoming slightly shaky but normal. He rubbed his eyes and yawned, staring at her. "What's good about it? Being a Embrayage that is." he asked, not to offend anyone just being curious.

She stared at him, and smiled, eyes glittering. "It's great, really. You're stronger, well, a little stronger, than most normal humans. And turning into five different animals... could you imagine being a cheetah? A dolphin? And eagle --which is absolutely spectacular... " she shook her head, trying not to laugh. "It's just great, besides the fact everyone wants to kill us just because we're different," she added, her expression sad, wistful.

Isobella was still in eagle from. She sensed the other morpher was no longer in danger, she she flew to the windowsill of the room they were in. Luckily, the window was open, so she sat perched on the windowsill, watching them.

Drew chuckled and looked at her. "Sounds great." he nodded, leaning upright slightly. He winced almost unnoticeable, but the gasp of air could have given it away. He laid back again, looking at Chase. He could look at her like a normal person. Not like someone he was supposed, trained, to kill. Other than the morphing and extra strength, he could think they were just people. That was probably why he could lay there at ease with one this close. He shrugged the thoughts off and looked at her, absentmindedly taking her hand and playing with her fingers as his eyes went distant and he became lost in thought.

Isobella looked on the windowsill, hoping there were no sencors. SIghing, she morphed into human form and looked at Chase and Drew,"Hi." she said, curiously.

Chase let him keep her hand, it felt different when a human touched her, not like when another Embrayage did. It felt nice. his touch, and so she just stayed there without any movement, just staring at her own hand he was playing with until Isobella spoke. She knew she was there before Drew could have known, which was why she didn't jump in shock. She looked over at her with an easy expression. "Hello," she said calmly, then looked down at Drew, before glancing at Isobella again. "This... er," she glanced around. "Well, there aren't sensors in this room, so you're all right. Naturally I'm not going to attack you, be the species as it may, but the rest will," she cautioned, showing the the still fresh bullet hole in her arm. "THeck, they even shoot their own kind.... or put them at risk of being shot. You didn't happen to catch what happened down in the plaza before, did you?" She made an attempt to laugh gently, but it was weak. She looked down at Drew, and switched her position so she was sitting at the edge of the couch. She let him keep her hand though, as she looked at Isobella. Laying on top of Drew with Isobella there didn't exactly feel.... kosher.

"Yes I did," Isobella said, getting off the window sill. She looked around the room, it was very.....plain..nothing like the forest. "Your arm looks pretty bad, are you ok?," she asked Chase, raising an eyebrow and sitting on the floor.

Drew bit his lip, saying nothing. When he realized he was still playing with Chase's fingers he quickly stopped, crossing his arms loosely. It was different. Everything was. How he felt about the Embrayage. What he thought about his job. Now, close to disgusted by it. Slowly, carefully, he leaned upright, sitting Indian-style next to Chase. Though somewhat surprised by Isobella's entrance he smiled at her, leaning back on the couch. He did have to admit the room was pretty plain. The white walls, making everything seem brighter. The lanolin floors, almost so clean you could see your reflection. The twin sized bed in the middle of the room that he refused to lay on. Then the black leather couch that seemed it didn't fit in the white room. He shifted on the couch, his eyes drifting to the floor.

"This rome is sooooo boreing, how can you live here?," she asked Drew, looking at him. She was some-what surprised. He was one of the Fid'ele.....yet he hadn't sounded the alarm on her...or Chase.

Drew chuckled softly, and shook his head. "I don't live here. This is just the hospital section of the building. It always looks boring." he smiled, with a playful shrug. A quick glance down at his chest, reminded him why he was here. He sighed softly, though his chest didn't hurt, just the thought of how he got here made him wince.

"Oh," she said. She was really hyper...she was always hyper. Laughing, she stood up and walked around. She stopped and looked at Drew, sitting down,"Why do the Fed'ele try and kill us? What have we done to them?" Isobella was only seventeen and didn't understand any of this.

Chase stared at her. She could tell Isobella was older than she was, only about a year. She stared at her. "Because we're different," she said. "Because we're stronger than them, and they know it. Because we can over throw them. We're the only ones who can. And we have other advantages. We're the only threat out there." She sighed heavily, anf flexed her arm, still sore from the wound. She winced, and sighed, before running a hand over the five-slash marks that made up the scar that ran across her left eye. She sighed.

Drew nodded in agreement. He sighed softly and looked down at his hands. Just out of boredom he took Chase's hand again, beginning to play with her fingers. He glanced over at her, eyebrow raised.

Isobella sighed and stood up,"It's not fair! We can't help being who we are! Why should we be killed, we've never done anything to them" With that, she morphed into an eagle and sat on the window sill, looking outside.

Chase looked at him, both eyebrows raised, surrendering her hand completely to him. She looked at Isobella. "I know, but humans don't think like that. They're so close-minded they don't care whether we're god or not. All they care about is keeping their empire theirs!" she said with a slight pain in her tone.

Drew dropped her hand, and turned his head away from both of them. Though the pain in his chest was coming back he stood and walked towards the door, leaning in the hallway. Even if everything they were saying was true, he still didn't want to listen. Staring at the white walls across from him, he sighed, closing his eyes and leaning his head back.

Chase looked at him, and snorted. She turned into a wolf, and got up, trotting out through the door. She looked at him once, before going to run. She stopped, and looked back, cantering back over to him, and standing up on her back legs as best she could. She licked his cheek, the equivalent of a human kiss, somewhere in that short time turning human for less than a second, and then becoming a wolf. She backed away, before turning, and running. Immediately shouts surrendered down the hall way, people staring at Drew, and shooting after her. A few bullets nicked her scraping against her, a few cuts wounding her. She didn't mind so much, as she raced from the building, one last bullet implanting its self in her chest. She howled, skidding slightly, before loping off behind a dumpster, losing whoever was following. She layed on her side, sighing heavily, refusing to turn human.

Drew looked after her. He sighed, watching her go. The sound of the bullet made him flinch, taking a step back. Should he go after her, and probably get even more rumors spread about him, or should he just let her go. His mind drifted back to the quick lick/kiss on his cheek, making him smile slightly. Slowly and hesitantly he went after her, his eyes downcast.

Chase flicked an ear. Her consciousness wavered, and she submitted to it, going completely black, the world gone, as she drifted to human form. Unconscious.

Drew went slightly faster. He somehow found her faster than even he would have thought. He tried thinking back, trying to find a name. Nothing. Nothing seemed to make sense anymore. Even why he protected the humans didn't make sense. His hesitation was unnoticeable when he picked Chase up. Now the decision to take her into the tower, where he would be safe and not her, or towards where she would be safe and not him. He remembered that the only place she would be safe was in the wilderness and it wasn't like they had doctors. Now the hesitation was gone. IT was just the fact of actually getting the doctor to help her once he was in the tower. He kept his grasp tight, determined to keep her alive, as he carried her into the building and to the hospital room where he was. He set her on the bed, not comfortable but it would work, and sighed. He kissed her cheek, hesitating to leave before he went to get the doctor.

Chase groaned slightly, laying on her side, pulling her knees to her stomach. She couldn't see, but she could feel, and she could feel the kiss on her cheek. Her eyes flickered open slightly, staring at Drew.

Drew glanced back at her. He saw that her eyes were open but only slightly. "Hey, you alright?" his voice was soft as he walked back to her. He stood at the side of the bed, his eyes on her, waiting.

Chase shrugged, and through the pain her old sense of humor and hard-headedness stayed. "Before we decide to start French kissing, the name's Chase," she replied starkly, snorting a laugh.
